Race Details: The Piney Orchard 5k Run/walk is a fundraiser for Piney Orchard Elementary School. The run starts and finishes at Piney Orchard Elementary School. Runners will start and run along Strawberry Lake Way and Piney Orchard Parkway before entering the Piney Orchard Nature Preserve, after running through the scenic nature preserve runners will complete the race by running along Strawberry Lake Way and finishing in front of the school.
Date: Saturday May 7th 2011 at 8am Rain or Shine!
Location: Piney Orchard Elementary School, 2641 Strawberry Lake Way Odenton, MD in the community of Piney Orchard
Entry Fee: $20 ($25 if you register on race day)
Registration: Registration will be available online through Active.com, via mail by completing and mailing in the race registration form or onsite on race day. Please see the registration page for more details.
Packet Pickup: Race packets can be picked up on Friday May 6th from 4-6pm or on race day from 7-8am at Piney Orchard Elementary School
Awards: Awards are given to the top 3 male and female finishers as well as winners of various age categories. Awards ceremony at 9am race day
Who Can Participate?: Everyone! All ages are invited to run or walk the 5k. No rollerblades, bicycles or pets allowed. Strollers and wagons are OK for racers with small children (those with strollers and wagons will be asked to start at the back)
What Do I Get?: All runners/walkers that are registered before April 28th will receive a race T-Shirt. Additionally awards are handed out to the top finishers in each category.
